In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we at CCT looked at finding ways of supporting our clients throughout this difficult period. We have been supporting our project participants through:
Shopping vouchers - to help with providing daily necessities and supporting families
Online training - to keep participants engaged and actively learning despite the lock down
One-to-ones and Pastoral support - to help maintain healthy emotional health and well being
Activities for children - to assist parents in keeping their children engaged in online learning
Advice and Counselling - to keep clients thinking ahead and positive for what lies ahead
Signposting to vital services - we directed families to food banks and other services for added vital support
We began this initiative back in April and funding for it finished in October. Over a 6 month period, we have been able to support several clients and their families.
We are grateful to have worked with the Kent Community Foundation in delivering something that sees our clients through this unprecedented time.
We also thank all our incredible volunteers and outreach workers involved in delivering these services.
